"Long Creek Cemetery Association"

Est.1910

The Long Creek Cemetery Association was started in 1910 when a group of ladies in the community recognized the need to organize the care of the Cemetery. Remember, this was a time of no riding lawn mowers or weed eaters. Graves were dug by hand and weeds were pulled in the same manner. Since 1910 members of some of the original families of Long Creek have cared for the grounds and kept burial records for the Cemetery.

The Association's membership is open to all who own lots. The Association holds an annual meeting each January to discuss Association business and to elect new officers.  With the many projects still to accomplish we encourage each of our lot owners to attend our meetings, get involved and to contact us if you have questions or concerns about the Cemetery.  Family members of those buried at Long Creek who do not own a lot personally are encourge to contact the Association if they have questions or suggestions regarding the Cemetery.

The next annual meeting of the Long Creek Cemetery Association will be held in January, 2009 at a date to be announced. Annual dues are $1.00. It is important to the Executive Board that we are able to notify all of our lot owners of the annual meeting and ask that you contact us or sign in to the guess book and give us your contact information.

It is our desire to serve our families and to care for and protect Long Creek Cemetery for future generations.
